THE MORNING PAGES

Last night’s reading took me through several months worth of those old journal entries. An extensive search will be required to find something prior to Sept. 12, 2004 where this one began. The first reference to “morning pages” is stated specifically on Oct.20, 4004 under the heading “Starting the Artists Way, and these now become my morning pages”. Many of the entries describe life during recovery from foot surgery. Three months non-weight bearing was physically & mentally challenging for an independent creative woman who enjoys living alone. A frequent complaint to “the pages” related to lack of privacy, particularly at the beginning. Will read more tonight.
