Project Runway

I'm wondering what it is about Project Runway that intrigues me so much. I love seeing what the designers have created and seem to get "into" the surprise of seeing the finished garments. The theatrics of who's in and who's out sometimes gets to me, but I realize the suspense factor is probably an important part of the appeal for the audience. It amazes me that they can do so much in such a seemingly short span of time and wonder how actual that truly is. After all this is the "magic of television", right? Sometimes the judges are a bit too candid in their remarks for my taste, but so is much of the media today. I guess this is one of the few shows I would actually categorize these days as entertainment.
